Welcome Farmington Woods Elementary parents! The PTA would like to welcome you to our school and invite you to become part of the PTA. Membership is one of the best ways that you, as a parent, can become involved in your child’s education. Your participation will help provide for the educational needs of every child at our school, as well as support the many valuable programs at Farmington Woods such as the Reflections Art program, Cultural Arts Performances, Hook-A-Book, and many more. The Magnet Schools of Merit Awards, conducted by Magnet Schools of America, recognize magnet schools “that show a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation/diversity efforts, specialized teaching staffs, and parent and community involvement.”
Farmington Woods Elementary IB/PYP School earned the 2013 Magnet School of Excellence award.
In 2011, Farmington Woods Elementary was named the top magnet elementary school in the nation.
Idling Reduction Campaign
The Idling Reduction Campaign aims to make the air cleaner and healthier for our kids at the school. A presentation was given on this issue at the hand bell choir program before the holiday break.
Volunteers are always a big part of successful implementation of all such campaigns and we need you all and your much valued and appreciated time and effort for this one too.
